About Brenna

Sometimes the reasons people seek therapy are clear. Other times, it's harder to put a finger on what's wrong. You might be struggling with anxiety, depression, relationships, or the effects of earlier experiences. You might feel stuck in familiar patterns, overwhelmed by your emotions, or uncertain about what comes next.

I work with adults who want to better understand themselves and make meaningful changes in their lives. Together, we'll look at what's happening now, how your experiences have shaped you, and what might be getting in the way. Therapy can offer a place to explore difficult feelings, recognize patterns, develop new ways of responding, and begin relating to yourself and others differently.

My approach

My work is relational, psychodynamic, and trauma-informed, integrating somatic awareness, mindfulness, and self-compassion. I'll listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, and offer perspective and practical tools when they're helpful. What we focus on and how we work will depend on what you need.

About me

I'm a Seattle-based therapist offering in-person and online therapy for adults throughout Washington. I bring warmth, curiosity, and a direct, collaborative style to my work. I value genuine connection, thoughtful conversation, and helping people develop a deeper understanding of themselves.

More background

**How have your personal experiences influenced your work?**

My own experiences have certainly influenced how I approach therapy. I've spent a great deal of time reflecting on my own history, relationships, and the ways our experiences shape how we move through the world. That ongoing curiosity informs both my personal life and my work as a therapist.

I also recognize that understanding someone's experience requires more than having gone through something similar. I try to approach each person with curiosity, humility, and an appreciation for the complexity of their individual story.

**Work History**

Before becoming a therapist, I worked in communications and development in both corporate and nonprofit settings. I also spent several years at home raising my two children. Those experiences gave me an appreciation for the many ways people navigate relationships, responsibilities, identity, and change.

My clinical work began at Bastyr Center for Natural Health, followed by work in a private therapy collective. Today, I have my own practice in Seattle, where I work with adults navigating a wide range of experiences and challenges.

I came to this profession with a fair amount of life experience, and I think that perspective matters. I bring warmth, curiosity, and a willingness to ask thoughtful questions, while recognizing that each person's experience deserves to be understood on its own terms.
