The big directories sell listings. We sell being found.
·
The big directories list hundreds of thousands of therapists. We list only paying members, each matched to the federal NPI Registry, on a domain people have typed since 1995. Fewer profiles next to yours means more clients actually see you.
First 30 days free. Then $49 a month flat, or $490 a year. No per-lead fees, cancel anytime.
As seen in
Therapist listings on Psychology Today, by our own count in July 2026. On a list that long, any single profile is easy to miss.
Every member matched to the federal NPI Registry, and no free listings. The shorter the list, the more of it a client actually reads.
-
Exposure is a fraction
Your visibility is one divided by the number of profiles a client scrolls past. Open directories grow the bottom of that fraction every day. We keep it small.
-
Every profile here is checked
We match each member's identity and licensed profession to the federal NPI Registry before they appear, and show the date we did it. The company your profile keeps makes your listing more believable, not less.
-
We grow the top of the fraction
A paid, registry-checked panel means the clients who arrive are looking at a short, credible list, and your profile is on it. That is the exposure we sell, and the reason we do not list everyone.

One flat price. Everything works for you.
$49 flat, always
First 30 days free. Then $49 a month or $490 a year. Never a per-lead fee, never a cut of a client, never a surprise line item.
Your inquiries are yours
No shared intake lines, no re-routing to other therapists. Someone who reaches out reaches you: the message is stored encrypted and emailed to your inbox, with the client's address as the reply-to.
A domain people already type
Psychology.com has been at the same address since 1995. That history carries search authority your profile inherits on day one.
Verified means verified
Identity matched to the federal NPI Registry, then your license checked with your state board. Both dates are shown publicly on your profile.
Nobody reads page twelve.
When a client finally decides to look for a therapist, they do not study hundreds of profiles. They read a handful, believe one or two, and reach out while the courage lasts.
Everything here is built for that moment: a short list they can believe, a verification date they can see, and a direct line to you while they are still ready to use it.
See it side by side.

Trust they can check, next to your name.
Anyone can put the word verified on a website. We show the receipt: what was checked, and the date we checked it, on every member profile. A client can see when the registry check was done before they ever reach out.
That is what turns a stranger scrolling at 2am into a first session on your calendar.
From "here is what I am facing" to your inbox.
Clients do not browse hundreds of profiles here. They describe what they are going through in their own words, and we bring them a short, ranked list of therapists who actually fit. Every match shows the client why you fit, in plain language.
Everyone pays the same flat price, so no member can pay more to outrank another. Members are listed ahead of unclaimed legacy listings, and the AI match itself runs on fit, not on payment.
A client describes what is going on
In their own words, plus their state, insurance, and preferences like online or in person and language.
We translate that into needs
Their description is mapped to the same specialties your profile lists, so the match runs on substance, not keywords in a search box.
Fitting therapists are ranked
Specialties, state, the insurance you accept, and your availability decide where you appear. Nothing else does.
The client reaches out to you directly
They see why you fit and contact you through our form. The inquiry is stored encrypted and lands in your inbox, and the conversation is yours from there.
What it costs
First 30 days free, $0 due today. Then $49 a month, or $490 a year for two months free. Cancel anytime.
- A registry-checked listing on a paid-only panel
- A profile page built to rank for your name, your specialties, and your city
- A dofollow link to your own website from your profile. Most directories block theirs from counting; ours counts.
- Inquiries straight to your inbox, with a dashboard to track them
- Matching runs on fit. Placement is never for sale.
Group practice? There is a per-seat plan. Mention it when you sign up.
Membership is paid, on purpose. It is what keeps the directory small, checked, and worth being in. Nothing here buys placement, because paying for referrals is treated as fee-splitting in most states, and we would never build your practice on it.
How joining worksJoin
Pick monthly or yearly and complete checkout. Membership is what keeps the directory small and real.

Get verified
Your identity is matched to the federal NPI Registry when you submit. We then check your license with your state board and date the result on your profile.

Straight answers.
Why do you list so few therapists?
Because exposure is a fraction. When a directory lists everyone, each profile is one of hundreds in a city and most are never seen. We check every member against the federal registry and list only paying members, so the people who arrive choose from a short, credible list, and your profile is on it.
What exactly do you verify?
Your identity, state and behavioral-health profession against the federal NPI Registry when you submit, then your license status with your state board where the board offers a public lookup. Both dates are shown on your profile, with links to the registry and the board. A license we cannot confirm keeps the registry match only.
Do inquiries really come straight to me?
Yes. A client who wants you contacts you through our form; the message is stored encrypted and emailed to you directly, with their address as the reply-to. Nothing is re-routed to another therapist or a platform booking service.
Does paying get me better placement?
No. Everyone pays the same flat price, and no member can pay more to outrank another. Members are listed ahead of unclaimed legacy listings; the AI match runs on fit, location and insurance.
Why is there no free listing?
Because free listings are how directories turn into phone books. Every profile here belongs to a paying, registry-checked member, which keeps the list short and credible. That is exactly what makes being on it worth something.
Can I cancel?
Anytime. There is no contract and no cancellation fee. When your membership ends, your profile comes off the directory. Rejoin later and your profile is restored.
Do you take a cut of the clients I get?
No. No fee per referral, per client, or per session, and no percentage of anything. The flat subscription is the entire deal.
Be one of a few, on purpose.
A registry-checked profile, a paid-only panel, and every inquiry straight to you. On a name people have brought this exact question to since 1995.
First 30 days free, then $49 a month flat. No per-lead fees. Cancel anytime.
A note on independence. Therapists on Psychology.com are independent licensed professionals, not employees or agents of Psychology.com. Verification reflects checks completed at a point in time against the federal NPI Registry and does not guarantee any outcome. Competitor figures are our own counts and checks, dated where shown.
