Some patterns in feelings, relationships, or behavior become difficult to understand when they keep repeating. This collection includes educational screeners for borderline, avoidant, dependent, and obsessive-compulsive personality concerns. It also includes separate reflections on narcissistic traits, Dark Triad traits, and other behavior patterns. Those tools do not all measure disorders. For example, the NPI-16-informed Narcissism Test looks at traits, while the BPD screen draws on MSI-BPD research and borderline criteria.

Choose the tool closest to a concern you want to describe, rather than taking the whole collection to find a label. Your history, circumstances, and the impact on daily life matter more than a single number. These self-assessments cannot diagnose you, identify another person as dangerous, or define your character. A result can help you prepare specific questions for a qualified professional, and a low score does not cancel an ongoing difficulty.

Personality disorder and trait tests FAQ

Does a high score mean I have a personality disorder?

No. A high score suggests that some answers resemble the patterns the questionnaire explores. A diagnosis requires a qualified professional to consider history, context, persistence, impact, and other explanations. These educational tools cannot do that, and they should not be used as a verdict about your identity or future.

Why are narcissism and Dark Triad tools listed here?

They explore traits that people often ask about alongside personality concerns, but a trait is not automatically a disorder. The Narcissism Test is informed by the NPI-16, and the Dark Triad tool by the SD3. Read their specific limits rather than assuming either identifies a clinical condition.

Can I answer these questions about someone else?

Use self-report tools as intended rather than scoring someone from the outside. A questionnaire cannot establish the motives, diagnosis, or dangerousness of another person. If a relationship worries you, describe the behavior and its impact on you; the relationship collection offers reflections focused on those experiences and boundaries.

What if this topic brings up shame or thoughts of self-harm?

You can stop reading or taking a test, and no score defines your worth. Consider reaching out to someone you trust or a qualified professional. In the US, call or text 988 for suicidal thoughts or emotional crisis. If there is immediate danger, contact local emergency services rather than waiting for a result.
