Cognitive questions are not all questions about intelligence. You may be noticing brain fog, difficulty organizing tasks, changes in someone’s memory, or differences in mental imagery. This collection brings together educational questionnaires for those experiences, alongside reflections on synesthesia and creativity. The memory tools draw on informant screening research such as IQCODE and AD8, while the Aphantasia Test explores imagery using a VVIQ-informed approach rather than a visual performance task.

Choose according to the experience you want to describe and who the questionnaire is about. The Dementia Test asks about someone you know well; other tools explore your own reported experiences. None of these questionnaires measures IQ, provides a neurological examination, or establishes the cause of cognitive changes. A result can organize observations for a conversation, while a new or worsening difficulty deserves attention beyond what an online score can offer.

Cognitive and perception tests FAQ

Are these cognitive tests the same as an IQ test?

No. This collection contains questionnaires about reported cognitive experiences, memory concerns, perception, and creativity. It does not include a standardized intelligence examination or timed performance assessment. Read each test’s purpose carefully so that a symptom score or reflective profile is not mistaken for a measure of intelligence.

Who should answer the Dementia Test?

The Dementia Test asks you to answer about someone you know well and draws on the short IQCODE. That differs from reporting only your own impressions about memory. Follow the respondent instructions on the specific page, and discuss concerns with a qualified health professional rather than treating a score as a diagnosis.

Does aphantasia mean my memory is impaired?

The Aphantasia Test asks about the vividness of mental imagery. It does not measure memory impairment or establish why you experience images a particular way. If your concern is a change in everyday remembering, choose a memory-focused route and seek professional advice instead of drawing conclusions from an imagery score.

Can a brain fog score tell me what is causing the problem?

No. The brain fog questionnaire organizes reported difficulties with focus, memory, word finding, and mental fatigue, but it cannot identify their cause. A qualified health professional can consider your circumstances and any new or worsening changes. Do not wait for an online result if you think you are facing a medical emergency.
