I can help you set boundaries with an overwhelmed tween or teen. Deep interests are a strength, but connecting gets harder when no one else wants to hear about your favorite thing for the 10th time. I offer geek-friendly therapy where hyperfocus is a tool, not a distraction.
My approach
I work with youth ages 9+ and adults on anxiety, overthinking, ADHD, and depression. Sometimes anxiety and ADHD are the whole story. Sometimes there's something underneath it. Being on edge gets read as distractibility or emotional meltdowns might be read as defiance. That leads to burnout and spiraling.
About me
After a decade as a teacher and 7 years of working with youth in crisis, I transitioned into counseling. My late diagnosed ADHD and Autism has given me some unique understandings of what things might have looked like had I gotten the tools I needed back then.
