The theraputic model I particularly like is the IFS (Internal Family Systems) model. It is a respectful, empowering and compassionate approach that promotes a more collaborative aproach to therapy. From a non-pathological framework, IFS believes we are all multidimensional, with parts of our personalities that operate to protect us, as well as parts that are burdensome and conflictual.
