STEPHEN C. HALPERT, PSY.D. was awarded his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Wright State University in 2000, and his Master's degree in Counseling from Arcadia University in 1996. He completed his postdoctoral training at the University of California, Berkeley's Counseling and Psychological Services Center and his predoctoral internship at Michigan State University's Counseling Center and Multi-Ethnic Counseling Center Association program. All degree granting institutions and training sites were accredited by the American Psychological Association. Dr. Halpert is a member of several professional organizations including the American Psychological Association, the California Psychological Association, and the Association for the Advancement of Behavioral Therapy. He has published in numerous professional journals in areas such as supervision, ethics, depression, suicide, and sexual orientation issues. Although trained as a generalist, specialty areas include cognitive-behavioral therapy, sexual orientation/sexual identity issues, domestic violence, anxiety/mood disorders, and diversity issues. Dr. Halpert's private practice consists of adults and older adolescents for individual and couples therapy.
