About John

What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession? I earned my Master's in Clinical Psychology from the University of Houston-Clear Lake in 2013 and taught as an adjunct psychology professor.

I completed my practicum and licensure at Jester IV psychiatric hospital, working with UTMB-Correctional Managed Care within the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, where I supported people with psychosis, anxiety, mood, and personality disorders. In 2017 I moved into private practice to offer compassionate, preventive care, and I continued specialized DBT training through Behavioral Tech.

About me

I understand how challenging it can be if you’re healing from violence or abuse, navigating grief, seeking trauma-informed support, guiding your child’s emotional growth, or simply feeling overwhelmed by life’s burdens. I’m here with empathy and expertise to gently help you rediscover peace, purpose, and hope.
