My approach
At Severance, we take a collaborative, respectful, and holistic approach in supporting your mental health goals. I would say I rely on the use of a few different modalities (MI, CBT, SUD/AUD specific counseling, REBT, DBT, EMDR, and elements of psychodynamic theory) to customize the therapeutic experience in a way that's unique to you.

I’m Jeff, a Houston based sex/addiction/psychotherapist licensed in 30 states/territories. I'm a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, Certified Sex Therapist, Licensed Clinical Social Work Supervisor, and am EMDR trained. I work with diverse populations, focusing heavily on the LGBTQIA+ community.
