About Sneha
I specialize in trauma and trauma-related difficulties. I've worked in hospitals, jails, prisons, and college counseling centers, and in every setting the through line has been the same: helping people process pain and expand their lives to include more than it. I work with adults navigating trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, personality disorders, and life transitions, with particular experience when trauma is entangled with the justice or medical systems.
I'm accepting new clients now, online across Michigan and in person in Ypsilanti. Sessions run by secure video with live captions and written chat; no phone call is needed to get started. Text (810) 394-8921 or request an appointment at forestfernscounseling.com/get-started.
My approach
I see therapy as a partnership. You are the expert on your life; I am the expert on psychology. When we combine those, we can get you where you want to be, not where someone else thinks you should be. My work is collaborative, integrative, trauma-informed, strengths-based, and research-informed, with an equity lens throughout.
About me
My training took me through complex environments: at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences I focused on trauma, substance use, and justice involvement, and at Montefiore Medical Center's THRIVE track I helped clients process trauma and build lives that hold more than pain. I practice with Forest Ferns Counseling, a Deaf-led Michigan group.
