I work with faculty, graduate students, writers, musicians and other creative professionals who need a therapist who understands the pressures of intellectual and artistic life without needing it explained from scratch, and with people navigating religious trauma, clergy transitions, and deconstruction. My approach is humanistic, integrating psychodynamic and existential thinking: we notice the patterns that helped you survive and the ones no longer serving you, and explore new ways of living and relating. I pay attention to culture, identity, and the frameworks you've built your life around, especially when one of them stops holding.

I especially enjoy working with queer clients, parents, older adults, fellow therapists, and people facing grief. I'm a Temporary Limited Licensed Psychologist practicing under the supervision of Mel Whalen, PhD, LP, at Forest Ferns Counseling, a Deaf-led Michigan group practice.
