I have been involved in the field of mental health work for over 30 years, working both in the capacity of a therapist and a supervisor. Although I worked with all diagnostic categories in my years of working in a community mental health setting, the greater part of my therapy work dealt with treating people with anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse and addiction. My work with all types of abuse and trauma survivors led me to seek out treatment approaches such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which could help me facilitate a positive treatment outcome for those who have suffered from abuse and trauma issues.
