My approach

My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to you. I draw from CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and deeper self-exploration to help you understand patterns, process difficult experiences, and make meaningful changes. I believe therapy works best when you feel safe to be yourself, ask questions, and move at your own pace.

About me

I’ve known since sixth grade that I wanted to help people. More than 20 years later, I still love being a therapist. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in Michigan, and I care deeply about helping adults feel understood, grow through life’s challenges, and become their most authentic selves, one person, one hour at a time.

In what ways have your personal experiences influenced your work with your clients?

I have gone through my own mental health journey and have achieved significant success in becoming more self-aware and healing my trauma. I want to share my wisdom and knowledge with others and support them in their own journeys as well.

Work history

I aid my clients in tapping into their inner wisdom to help heal their wounds, past & present. My approach is interactive, empathetic, compassionate & accepting. I work hard to get my clients the relief they are looking for, so I provide feedback & coping skills to keep you motivated. My scope of practice includes using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy & Solution Focused modalities with an emphasis on “healing” in order to help my clients achieve their best selves. I work with anxiety, depression, trauma, codependency, stress, self esteem issues, life transitions and career challenges. I believe that people are unique, so my sessions adhere to those ideals. I offer an environment that is open, respectful & non-judgmental. I have had my own personal mental health journey, so I understand what it is like to struggle. I bring the knowledge & experience I acquired into the counseling process. I empower others & lead them to a successful life. For LLPCS, I provide counseling supervision under the State of MI requirements. I have a passion for educating & working with counselors to help them achieve their goals of getting their full license. I will focus on your skills, beliefs, personal awareness, case concepts & treatment. Let's collaborate together & shape you to be a great counselor!
