About Josie

It's exhausting to try to keep it all together while feeling like nothing you do is ever enough. You get caught in cycles of overthinking, people-pleasing, and striving for perfection. Whether you're struggling with food, healing from past hurts, or feeling like you've lost touch with yourself, therapy can help you understand your patterns, soften the self-criticism, and find a way of living that feels more authentic and more free.

My approach

My approach is warm, real, and deeply collaborative. In our sessions, you can show up exactly as you are, and I'll bring the compassion, curiosity, and practical tools to help you heal. I’m a human first and a therapist second, so if it’s helpful, I’m open about my own recovery experiences, but the work is always centered on you.

About me

My path to becoming a therapist began with my own healing from disordered eating and trauma - experiences that shaped my life and showed me how powerful compassionate support can be. I know firsthand how hopeless recovery can feel at times, and that’s part of why this work is such an honor for me.

More background

For the past 16 years, I've helped wonderful, sensitive humans heal from eating disorders and the impacts of trauma and other painful experiences. I earned my Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles in 2010 and have supported clients across many different levels of treatment, which has given me a deep understanding of how recovery unfolds in real life. I’ve also had the privilege of training newer clinicians, which has strengthened my commitment to offering care that’s compassionate, individualized, and truly supportive. My work is guided by warmth, gentle curiosity, and the belief that every behavior makes sense in context.
