My heritage in psychotherapy is derived from four main areas of training and experience: 1) formal professional training in cognitive-behavioral therapy,2) research/conceptual training in stress/coping 3) practicum work in community, family, and marital systems intervention, 4)exposure/course work in existential psychology. I have found the ever-broadening relevance of the stress concept to the entire health field has made old mind-body ideas obsolete. The thoughtful and meaningful supervision of our brain is the key to stress reduction, which in turn is the key to most emotional and behavioral problems. I work with my clients to make the cognitive, emotional and behavioral adjustments that will most effectively improve their quality of life.
