About David

David Chadorchi, PsyD, is a licensed psychologist in California and the founder of Healing With Meaning, his practice in West Hills, Los Angeles. He earned both his master's degree and his doctorate in psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology, and he treats adults and couples for anxiety, depression, addiction, anger, and relationship difficulties.

He has worked at the anxiety disorders clinic at UCLA, on acute inpatient psychiatric units, in outpatient substance use programs, at a college counseling service, and in a maximum security prison, where he was a forensic psychologist. He credits the prison years with teaching him the most about trauma, shame, and how people cope in extreme conditions. He also consults for a test preparation company, coaching newly qualified psychologists through their licensing exams.

Most of his private practice clients are working adults dealing with anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, or relationship strain. He starts psychodynamically, tracing where a pattern began, then turns to cognitive behavioral therapy to build a plan for changing it, drawing on motivational interviewing and solution-focused methods where they fit. He works in English and Farsi.
