Self-Esteem Journal
A simple daily log to balance a self-critical mind: note what you did well, a strength you used, and a kindness, and watch the evidence add up.
About this tool
Low self-esteem is kept alive partly by attention bias. A self-critical mind notices and remembers failures while filtering out the ordinary good things you do every day. A self-esteem journal works against that bias by asking you to deliberately record the positives, so over time you build a written body of evidence your critic cannot easily dismiss.
The three prompts are chosen on purpose. Noting something you did well counters the habit of discounting your efforts. Recording a strength you used helps you see qualities as real and repeatable, not flukes. Writing down a kind thing connects self-worth to your values and your impact on others, which tends to be steadier than worth based on achievement alone.
This practice draws on well-supported ideas from cognitive behavioral therapy and positive psychology, including evidence that regularly noting good things in your day can lift mood and well-being. Keep it small and consistent. Two minutes a night, kept up for a couple of weeks, does more than an ambitious log you abandon.

Self-Esteem Journal FAQ
How does a self-esteem journal help?
It counters the way a self-critical mind filters out the good in your day. By recording small wins, strengths, and kindnesses, you build written evidence that gives you a fairer, fuller picture of yourself.
What if I cannot think of anything to write?
Start very small. Got out of bed on a hard day, answered a message, made someone laugh. The ordinary things are exactly what low self-esteem overlooks, so they belong here.
How long should I keep it up?
Aim for a daily note over a couple of weeks. Consistency matters more than length. A quick two-minute entry kept up beats an elaborate log you drop.
Is my data saved anywhere?
No. The journal runs in your browser and nothing is uploaded. The PDF is created on your own device.
