Dr. Jacqueline Smith is a licensed professional counselor specializing in individual, couples and family psychotherapy rooted in Biblical truth and ethics and maintains a private practice in Cincinnati, Ohio. With over 20 years experience as a clinician, and a graduate of the Counselor Education program at the University of Cincinnati, specializing in mental health counseling, she is currently serving as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among her areas of expertise are creative arts therapy, multicultural issues in counseling, and Christian counseling. In addition, Dr. Smith has presented at National, regioinal, and local conferences and to general audiences on topics ranging from crisis intervention to supervision in counseling.

Dr. Smith is a practical, interactive, cognitive-behavioral therapist. She believes that we are daily flooded with false beliefs and lies that can permeate our lives and influence our self-talk. These false beliefs have the potential to harm marriages, destroy self-confidence, and damage our spiritual walk, leaving us confused and searching for direction. However the Bible has a lot of practical wisdom about human nature, marriage and family, human suffering, and so much more. Her treatment approach is to provide support, direction and biblically-based feedback to help clients replace faulty thinking with healthy thinking to resolve current problems and long-standing patterns. She incorporates a blend of conventional and alternatives approaches, drawing upon a variety of theories, styles, and techniques to incorporate what will be most helpful for each client. With empathy, respect, and her God-given spiritual gifts of discernment, encouragement, teaching, and helping, she works with each client to help them build on their strengths, know truth,and become healthy and well-adjusted individuals, mentally,emotionally, and spiritually.
