My training and orientation as a psychotherapist is both psychodynamic and interactive. Being a pragmatist at heart, I believe that therapy should be tailored to a person’s needs as no two people are alike. And so I employ a variety of approaches and theories and techniques, including CBT, in an eclectic and flexible manner. I believe that the process of psychotherapy will help you explore and clarify your feelings, understand yourself and others, find options, and make changes in your life.
In Private Practice well over 20 years, I have a great deal of experience treating Anxiety Disorders, Depression, Relationship Issues, Career Problems, Sexual Abuse, Self-Esteem issues and Obsessive/Compulsive Disorders. A good Portion of my Practice consists of Couple's Counseling. I provide short term and long term psychotherapy.
I see individuals from all walks of life and have dealt with many different and difficult issues over the years. My approach is always supportive and curious - seeking to understand and in so doing meet the needs of each individual person.
